Invisalign Sydney Braces – How Do They Compare With Traditional Braces?
Invisalign are basically invisible braces, made specifically for your teeth. They are constructed with the precise measurements to move your teeth into the correct place. Your dentist takes impressions of your teeth. From these impressions, clear aligners are created to match your treatment plan.
Each pair of aligners is worn for a 2-week period. Typically, the treatment takes less than one year. Over the period of your treatment, your teeth will gradually evolve to produce the smile that you’ve always wanted.
Invisalign orthodontics and conventional braces differ in a number of ways. The aligners can be removed, so you can take them out of your mouth when you have a special event to attend. But, to receive the best outcome that you desire you must have discipline to do what your cosmetic dentist or orthodonist tells you to do.
Invisalign aligners do not employ any metal wires or brackets; rather they are clear and removable and have smooth edges. Some patients feel that the metal in conventional braces rubs against the mouth area and is a source of pain.
It is significantly easier to brush your teeth and keep your gum area clean when you have invisible braces than when you have regular braces. Brushing and flossing your teeth is far more troublesome with braces, and less effective. With traditional braces, brushing and flossing is far more difficult and less effective.
Your Invisalign dentist will be familiar with five issues that are common with their patients’ teeth. These problems can end up being important dental health conditions and they should be treated if it is possible.
When your upper teeth come forward in the mouth past the lower teeth, you have an overbite. If your lower teeth are coming forward of the upper teeth when biting, you have an underbite. You have overly crowded teeth when there is not enough space in your mouth for your teeth to be in a normal position. When you have widely spaced teeth you have too much space between teeth. You have a crossbite if some upper teeth are above the lower teeth and some are under the lower teeth.
If any of these conditions apply to you, then Invisalign braces are the remedy you are looking for.
