Vertical Workouts
Knowing how to jump is important in most sports. The sport that requires the most jumping is beach volleyball but basketball comes in a close second.
When you bend your knees to jump the tendon in your knee is stretched. A stretch in that tendon will cause send a signal to your spine which will tell your muscles in your legs to contract. When this happens you will jump. Plyos are made to help this reaction take place with greater force.
You will not make it as an athlete if you are not quick and explosive. You can teach your body how to be more explosive by doing plyometrics.
Quickness is something that some people have naturally and others have to teach themselves how to be fast. You can get quicker than any of your competitors with training.
How do you get faster? You train using plyometrics which will increase the number of fast twitch muscles in your body.
What is the highest someone can jump? Multiple people can jump 44 inches high and some claim to be in the upper 40’s. You can aim for adding 10 inches on your vert within months.

Remember that there are more muscles involved than the simple leg muscles that you would think of. You have to train your whole body to react better and you will be able to jump higher.
